The Salinas Airshow

The Salinas Air Show – also known as the Salinas International Air Show and the California International Airshow – is held each year at the Salinas airport, right off Highway 101. It’s a great show with aerobatic teams from around the world. Past participants have been the Navy Blue Angels and the Canadian Snowbirds teams.

Air shows are great and exciting events. I can remember being taken to a show by my parents long ago and can still recall the thrill of seeing the Blue Angels perform their amazing maneuvers. And yes, they were flying jets even back then…

The Salinas Air Show is an exciting event that takes place each September. It is the largest airshow on the Central Coast and is well-attended. The air show take place at the Salinas airport.

Times for the Salinas Airshow:

The gates open at 9AM and the flying begins at 12 each day. As mentioned above, there are many other displays, as well as lots of vendors of food and gift items.

Ticket Information:

There are different levels of admission and seating ranging from general admission (no seating) to the Flight Deck Club which includes a catered meal ticket. You can check out the specifics here.

How to get to the Salinas International Air Show:

The Salinas Airport is located within sight of Highway 101 and CalTrans has recently completed work on new on and off ramps in the area,area,area,area, making getting to this event even easier.
