Paso Robles Wine Festival
2012 marks the 30th celebration of the Paso Robles Wine Festival. Since 1983 this event has been bringing attention to the unique qualities of the region and the wines that are produced here. It also is a great opportunity for wine lovers and wine makers to meet.
The event will be held May 18th through the 20th at the Paso Robles Downtown Park (Spring and 12th).
The park is about 8 acres in size and every square inch will be in use with over 80 wineries being represented along with the best in Central California food.
The Paso Robles Wine Festival is put on by the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance which is a cooperative marketing group made up of wineries, growers and wine related businesses.
The Festival is centered in downtown Paso, but other events take place at individual wineries all over the area making for difficult, but pleasant choices.
The great fun and benefit of the festival is that it enables wine lovers to connect with the winemakers. Most of the winemakers are present in their booths pouring and answering questions.
So if you have a favorite Paso Robles winery, it's a marvelous opportunity to put faces with the wine.
The Paso Wine Festival begins on Friday May 18 with the Reserve event from 3:30 to 6:00pm.
